A fidget spinner is a type of toy, whose marketers claim it relieves stress. ... The toy has been advertised as helping people who have trouble with focusing or fidgeting (such as those with ADHD, autism, or anxiety) by acting as a release mechanism for nervous energy or psychological stress.

My son has ADHD. Since we have purchased him a fidget spinner, he has been doing MUCH better in school and has been able to concentrate and learn what he's supposed to be learning. It is a great "toy" that teaches kids to concentrate on one thing at a time and definitely works for kids with ADHD and Autism.

I would recommend parents to purchase one if they have a child who has difficulty concentrating. It is a great alternative to prescription drugs such as Ritalin.

You can purchase them at most convenience stores, Master Mind Toys, and many other places for as little as $5. They even have Fidget Spinners that glow in the dark, and also ones that light up! As well as many different shapes and sizes.
